Overview

Today's investigation is on Desirdunsoir.com. This website is geared towards French people but since our native language is English we're doing our investigation in English. A couple of things we noticed right off the hand is that Desirdunsoir.com is associated with other websites we have reviewed in the past and concluded to be deceptive tricks to con people. These web sites include MaturesForFuck.com, IGetNaughty.com, QuickFlirt.com and NaughtyDate.com. We signed up on the site as a free member so we could conduct a thorough investigation. In this investigation we followed the same criteria as with all other investigations. We joined the site, logged into the members area and let the investigation take its course. You can read our findings below. FYI, if you would like to read this review in French, go here.

Trickery Using Bots

The people behind Desirdunsoir.com think that we're so stupid that we won't think it's odd that we're receiving large amounts of messages, even though our account has absolutely no profile photos. One of the first ways that you are attracted to a person is from their appearance. But on our member profile we did not upload any photographs. But somehow miraculously we are receiving a constant stream of email notifications from various women interested in us. How is this possible? These female members have absolutely no idea what we look like but for some reason we are getting bombarded with email messages. Is this even possible? The answer is no. What's really going on is that this website along with hundreds of other dating sites that we have exposed on our blog use something called automated robots. These automated bots are essentially computer software programs that are created and designed exclusively to send email messages to people who register as free members on this site.

The email messages make it appear like you're receiving messages from real women but in fact you're actually interacting and getting messages from a computer program. This is a very deceptive trick that catches thousands of people off guard and deceptively tricks them into trying to reply back to the messages. And if you do try to reply back to the messages you are automatically sent to a payment page where are you are required to pay to communicate with other members. Unfortunately most people have no clue that they've been duped into interacting with a bot and not a real person on the site.

This little trick is one of the major ways that these fraudulent dating services can make millions of dollars. They trick people into upgrading to useless monthly memberships to interact with fictitious women who don't even exist on the dating service.

Automated Profile Page Views

Another similar tactic that's used in another part of the site is in the views section. A view is when someone has viewed your profile at which point you'll receive a notification of it. Fortunately just like the email messages the views are all automatically generated using computer software programming. So no one is really viewing your profile, it just looks like someone has viewed your profile but it's just a computer program. And when you receive a notification it appears as if an attractive-looking female has viewed your profile. And the con here is when you try to reply back and communicate to the people viewing your profile you will have to upgrade to communicate. However as we've already stated no one actually visits your profile, it's a deceptive trick using automated computer programming.

"Winks" Are Sent From Bots Camouflaged To Trick You

Using a similar technique is with the use of fictitious "winks". A wink is when someone sends you a quick flirt to show that they're interested in you. When you go and check who has sent you a wink and you try to message them back you are automatically sent to an upgrade payment page where you need to purchase a paid subscription to the dating service. This is essentially how the website makes millions of dollars, by tricking as many people as possible into upgrading via using fictitious "winks", automated views and computer-generated email messages. If you combine all of these sneaky tricks all together they bring in staggering amounts of money on their fraudulent online dating services.

Dating Profiles Disguised To Look Like Real Female Members

The absolute epicenter of the fraud is with the member profiles. We've done hundreds of reviews and it's always the fake profiles that are the center of the fraud. The first thing you do when you join a dating site is to browse the female members. Unfortunately from our investigation at least some of the profiles on this site are using images copied or stolen from a variety of different online sources. Some of these sources include adult image sites and amateur porn websites. Below we have compiled links to the exact locations online where you can see photographs that have been used to create fictitious profiles on Desirdunsoir.com .

We have provided this evidence to prove our case even further that this is not a legitimate dating service. Combining the use of concocted profiles, computer-generated email messages, fake views and automated winks you can see a clear pattern of misleading tricks and deceptiveness.

Bogus-profile-photo

This girl is a amateur porn star called "Natalie Sparks". Her photo has been stolen and used to create a bogus profile page on Desirdunsoir.com. Many of the links below go to romance scammer websites proving even further that she is not real.

Automated Pop Up Notifications

This site confesses to using automatic pop-up notifications. The automated pop-up notification system includes sending emails, messages and activity alerts such as people who have viewed your profile and send you a wink. Like we've already stated all of these are automated and the website completely admits to this fact in their terms and conditions. It's not a deep dark secret but unfortunately most people do not take the time to read the terms and conditions to understand exactly what they're getting themselves into. In the terms and conditions they confess that some of the "auto-generated activity alerts that are sent to you may require an upgraded paid membership in order to see the content of the message or reply to the email messages". We already knew this but it's nice to have even more evidence to prove that all the messages are computer-generated and used to get you to upgrade to a paid monthly membership to their site.

Their Hidden Agenda Is Found In The Terms And Conditions

If you didn't read the terms and conditions that we have provided the most important part of the terms and conditions below. You can alternatively click this link to be taken to the terms and agreement page. In the terms and conditions they do outline that they create profiles and that they use automatically generated activity alerts that are sent to their users. This is just more evidence to prove what we've already stated regarding automated bots and the use of imaginary profiles.

  1. We may, from time to time, create profiles which are created, maintained and managed by our employees ("Staff Profiles"). The purpose of these Staff Profiles is to enable us to ensure our Services are operating properly by testing the Services, features and functionalities, and to research our products and Services.

  2. To boost interaction between our members and in order to notify them of newly registered matches and any activity of that new user (i.e. registration, photo upload etc.) we may, from time to time, use an automatic pop up notification system and other communication channels e.g. inbox or instant messages to send Activity Alerts to you.

  3. Activity Alerts will be marked in your inbox with a specific icon, and some auto generated Activity Alerts may require an upgraded Paid Membership in order to see the content of message and reply to it.
