This investigation is on HookupsFinder.com. In this review we will break down all of the deceptions and unethical behavior being used by the website as a mechanism to make free members want to upgrade. You can read the full investigation with evidence below.

Our Profile Is Empty But We Still Get Messages

We've done hundreds of reviews of adult dating services. Through all of this we've gained an understanding and lots of experience in how to identify and spot dating sites that are scams. This is our forte, we are experts in this field. When we created a member profile for the dating site we are reviewing which in this case is HookupsFinder.com. We always leave our profile page blank. We never upload any pictures to our profile page and we never fill out the personal information. This is done for a very important reason to weed out illegitimate dating sites that are nothing but frauds.

In in the situation we didn't upload any pictures or include any personal information in our profile so then we could investigate to see what would happen. On a regular legitimate dating service nothing would happen. We wouldn't get any emails, we wouldn't get any instant messages, no one would send us flirts and no one would wink at us. But if the dating site isn't real you will get emails, instant messages, flirts, winks and everything else under the sun. This is important is to point out because it proves that the website isn't real.

Learn Why A Dating Site Isn't Real If You Get A Boat Load Of Messages

Whenever you join a dating site the first thing you would do is to search for local women. Then you would initiate a conversation by emailing or sending an instant message to the women you're interested in. Why then is it that women would contact our profile when we have no pictures in our profile and we have absolutely no information whatsoever. There is no reason for these women to contact us since they know nothing about us and they don't know what we look like. As always with fake dating sites HookupsFinder didn't let us down we received multiple email messages, multiple flirts, multiple instant messages Etc. All of this is part of their elaborate scheme to get people to upgrade and buy a paid subscription to the website. We will explain all of this further down in this investigation.

Remember when a profile is empty you shouldn't be getting lots of emails and instant messages and flirts and winks. It doesn't make any sense unless you understand that no one's actually sending us those emails etc it's all done using high-tech computer software programming called computer bots. A computer bot is a software program that has been built exclusively to send automated communications such as emails and instant messages to people. And that's exactly what's happening on HookupsFinder.com.

(Screen shot of our empty profile.)

Sham Messages From Hi Tech Bots

Continuing on with our empty profile discussion is now the messages we are receiving. Remember our profile is blank and there shouldn't be that many females contacting us based on common sense. But common sense is out the window when it comes to automated computer bots. A computer bot is not designed to think, they have been created specifically to perform an automated task. In this particular situation these automated robots are used to send fictitious fake email messages to people who register as free members on Hookups Finder.

The computer bots haven't been built to think for themselves, they do what is programmed in the software. As you can see from the screenshot below circled in red we received 10 email messages (so far). Anytime we tried to read a message we were asked to upgrade and pay to read the fake message!

The website does admit that they use an "automatic pop-up notification system" including using emails that are designed to send activity alerts. And they also confess some of this is "automatically generated activity alerts" and they require you to have an upgraded paid membership in order to read the message. At the end of the day it's all about making money and they do this by deceiving you and manipulating you into believing real local women are sending you legitimate emails. This is the farthest thing from the truth and is an absolutely false. If you want to pay to interact with computer bots go ahead and do so but we're telling you the truth here and their own terms and conditions page (under section 1) confirm what we're telling you.

Bots Used To Trick Into Believing Women Are Winking At Us

Another dirty trick they use that as part of the automated bots fraud is when they send their members notifications that women have browsed our profile page or winked at us. All of this is a bunch of Lies. There is absolutely no local females browsing our profile or winking at us. Once again just like the email messages it's all a massive trick to get you to the upgrade page where they will ask for your credit card information so you can communicate with these members. Unfortunately communicating with these members is a waste of time because most of the profiles are fabricated.

The terms and conditions page clearly states that they use an automatic pop-up notification system to send activity alerts such as winks and profile browsing to their members.

Illegitimate Profiles At Every Turn

Now we'd like to discuss the profiles that you see when you do a search on HookupsFinder.com. It may seem as if you're looking at lots of hot looking local girls who want to hook up with you but unfortunately this is not the case. This website has devised a scheme like hundreds of other sites that we've already exposed for the same practice. What they do is the following. The employees of Hookups Finder create virtual fake profiles. These employees are paid to create pretend profile pages of women. The profile pages look real. They have photographs in them and they have all the personal information such as age, location etc that you would see in any real dating profile. The only difference between the two profiles is that this one is a fake profile created by the HookupsFinder.com staff and used as a way to hook you into buying a paid subscription to the site. The website admits this is what they're doing and they state that they "may from time-to-time create profiles which are created maintained and managed by their employees". This sentence is found directly in the terms and conditions page in Section 1.

There are a number of reasons why HookupsFinder's owners utilize bogus profile pages. The number one reason for making phony profile pages is because their site wouldn't have any females. They would have very limited amounts of legitimate women on the site. Just like any hookup site unfortunately there are a much larger majority of men joining than women. And the men who register on these dating sites are hoping to get laid. If there are very limited amounts of women then obviously they're not going to want to pay for a full membership package if they can't hook up with real women. Unscrupulous dating services like Hookups Finder take it to the next level and create their own fake profiles. So when you do a search for local women there's always an abundance of hot looking girls. But unfortunately this is all fake and nothing but a mirage.

Photos Copied From Other Sites Used To Make Simulated Profiles

Below we've included proof of at least two profiles that have been found on HookupsFinder.com that are fabricated. These profile pictures have been lifted from other websites and then use to create virtual profile pages and used on HookupsFinder. The photographs are used to create fake profile pages with phony personal information.

We've also included the corresponding links so you can see which websites are hosting those exact same photographs (many of the site are adult image sites). This is just even more evidence that the website is utilizing fictitious profiles.

Your Profile Is Being Used On Other Sites

Did you know that when you agreed to joining the site you also agreed to let the owners of HookupsFinder use your profile including all your personal information throughout all of their various dating sites. The owners of HookupsFinder.com not only own that site but a multitude of other websites, so understand that when you join this site all your information and pictures are going to be posted to who knows how many other sites that they own.

The Terms And Conditions Explain Exactly What They Do

The terms and conditions page is the last piece of the puzzle that brings it all together. Like we've already stated the terms discuss that they do create profiles that are created and operated by their employees. They also admit that they use an automatic pop-up notification system to send people emails and instant messages. All of this can be found in the terms. You can click on this link to go directly to the terms and conditions, (visit section 1). Or you can read the paragraphs taken from the terms and conditions page directly below.

  • We may, from time to time, create profiles which are created, maintained and managed by our employees ("Staff Profiles"). The purpose of these Staff Profiles is to enable us to ensure our Services are operating properly by testing the Services, features and functionalities, and to research our products and Services.

  • To boost interaction between our members and in order to notify them of newly registered matches and any activity of that new user (i.e. registration, photo upload etc.) we may, from time to time, use an automatic pop up notification system and other communication channels e.g. inbox or instant messages to send Activity Alerts to you. Activity Alerts will be marked in your inbox with a specific icon, and some auto generated Activity Alerts may require an upgraded Paid Membership in order to see the content of message and reply to it.

  • You authorise us to reproduce and broadcast the information contained in your profile including your name, photograph, "chat up line", description etc. throughout all or part of our Partner Sites and our Group Companies
