There is a saying when something looks too good to be true it probably is. We went out to find out if HookupGirlfriends.com is too good to be true or if it's a legitimate dating site. Our full investigation is available below for you to read.

Phony Webcam Video Chats

With all the investigations we do we try to go in with an open mind. But seeing the same type of cons and scams time and time again it's very easy for us to determine if a dating site is a scam within 5 minutes of registering on the site.

In this particular investigation we created an account on HookupGirlfriends.com and then logged into the members area. Within a few short minutes we already had some girl chatting to us via webcam. But as is so many times with these cases what seems to be real actually isn't. The girl who is supposedly camming with us was nothing but a pre recorded video (see evidence below) that is played over and over again to every single member who has a free account on the site. After a short amount of time when the girl chats with you a message appears saying you need to upgrade in order to communicate back to the girl in the video. This is all a scam. The video is pre recorded and you have to upgrade in order to chat back to the person in the video who is not even a real member of the dating service, crazy!

Fake Profiles AKA "Fantasy Members"

The second con are the girls on the site. When it seems to be too good to be true it probably is. And in this situation that is right on the money. Almost all of the women we came across or who contacted us had a small little logo signifying that they were "Fantasy Members". This is the definition that HookupGirlfriends.com gives to the fake female profiles that they create. As you can see from the evidence below circled in red is a small logo "FM" that shows that those are fictitious girls aka "Fantasy Members". They are not real women looking to hookup for sex, the profiles attached to those images are 100% fake and the website admits to creating those fake profiles.

Phony Profiles Views

Another con many dating sites like to use is the "viewed your profile" scam. With this deception they make it appear as if a variety of different attractive looking girls have checked out your dating profile. You are then alerted if someone has viewed your profile and when you go to see who viewed your profile it's obviously going to be a hot looking girl. If you're a man looking to meet women of course you are going to try and communicate back to those women at which time you are asked to upgrade to a paid monthly membership. We received 5 of these phony notifications (see evidence below).

Automated Instant Messages From Non Existent Girls

Not only do they use fake webcam chats to trick you into upgrading, they also use automated instant chat messages to do the exact same thing. We have included evidence below circle in red that shows just one of the instant messages that we received from the fake girls aka bots (robots). Just to be 100% clear any instant messages you receive are most likely going to be completely automated which have been sent to you using computer software programs. You are not interacting with a real person.

The Terms & Conditions Explains It All

To tie it all together is the terms and conditions which clearly states that HookupGirlfriends.com uses virtual fictitious profiles. We took a screenshot of part of the terms and conditions (see evidence below) where they clearly state that they use fake dating profiles.

fictitious profiles

When they are telling you that they are creating fake dating profiles, then that's all you need to know to run as far away as you can from the site. Is there any reason to use a dating site that goes to the extent of creating fake female profiles? What are your chances of actually meeting real women on this site if they need to create fake women to make it appear as if the site is legitimate. If they took out all the fake dating profiles it would be all male members on this site.

You can read the most important parts of the terms and conditions below. We have copied and pasted them for you to read so you understand exactly how this site operates in black and white.

Does Hookup Girlfriends use virtual or fictitious profiles?

  1. Yes, we do. Some of the user profiles posted on this Website are fictitious, and are associated with our “Fantasy Member” (FM) service. We designate these profiles with a written “FM” on the profile details page.
  2. Initial messages from our FM service may be automatically generated with no human involvement, and third-party contractors hired or contracted by us may generate messages or correspondence after that.
  3. You understand that the information, text, and pictures contained in the FM service profiles do not pertain to any actual person, but are included for entertainment purposes only. Nothing contained in any FM service profile is intended to describe or resemble any real person—living or dead. Any similarity between FM user profile descriptions and any person is purely coincidental.
  4. A single FM may be associated with more than one (1) profile on the Website.
  5. You can readily identify and distinguish FM service profiles from member profiles by the FM appearing on each FM profile, and the absence of any “interests” or geographic “location” identifier contained in the FM profile.
  6. FM profiles may contact both members and subscribers through computer-generated instant messages or emails…
  7. You understand that no physical meeting will ever take place between you and the individuals providing our FM service

Im looking to sue them they knowingly run s scam and they use other sites by planting their own employees who lead you to this site

        • Nelly says:

Hi Barry, I wish we could sue them, but because of the fact that they tell us what they are up to in the small print of the terms & conditions, which honestly, I didn't read until a month later when becoming a bit suspicious, well (none of us probably read this as we think that people would generally be honest, respect our spending of hard earned funds, our rights & our feelings) – they will probably get away with it…the only way to deal with them, I think, would be to do a major exposure excersize, like what "dating busters" is doing here – so I also just want to say thanks so much to "Dating Busters" for hosting this site & the service that they have provided to us in making these studies public and to all the people that are writing these reports – Thank you all !!! – I find your report is written with excellence in it's completeness – some really good investigative journalism here – wow! – at least you have created a platform for us to voice our grievances and expose these fraudulent websites amongst ourselves, even if we cannot bring them to justice…well done!

  • Pete says:

Don't be misled by the name of this site fellas!!!! You have more chance of getting into Fort Knox!!! This site is a total scam!!! Beware!!!?????

  • Bryan Jones says:

Been thinking of subscribing to site as been on it a while now Thank god I didn't subscribe to this site

  • Nelly says:

I fully agree that it is a scam – actually it will play with your heart and your feelings…if you are a man looking for a real woman – then go somewhere else – cause everything on this site is fiction – I registered with the site for about 4 weeks to see what it was about – I didnt even have a profile picture and I was told I look so cute and so good…dah… how would they know???… all 78 girls I was contacted by had the FM extension…meaning they are all fictitious – why would you want to date a computer program anyway? – rather extend your arm and talk to the real girls standing next to you than believe in this bs – my last entry into my profile page, after receiving over 78  profile views, friend requests and "winks" was as follows: LOL…LOL…LOL…You want me to upload a Photo? – but no personal details so that we cannot be identified? -???- LOL – (with tears in my eyes)…hihihi & Wait … and then you create a whole lot of fictional…what?…FM's – (fantasy generated members) hahahaha…..to inspire and invoke webtraffic? hihihihihi….WTF? – why don't you guys just publish a f'ing Novel or comic instead like Roses..??? wouldn't that be more honest, easier and less heart-breaking???….. hahahalololololololol

Please excuse the sarcasm…but this is important to show as you can imagine that after a month of talking to people who you do not know, do not actually exist, is pretty frustrating when they will never be able to meet with you as they are in the figment of a computers IC in as much imagination or fantasy as a computer can have…unplug your USB drive and get a load of how wonderfull and smoothe it feel ooohh yea baby…

  • Don Knotts says:

Hope that the guys here get their money back or at the very least are able to terminate their memberships.

The sad reality is that every single one of these hookup sites is a scam — think about it; why would a girl in her right mind sign up for a site like this if they look like the way they do. If they really want to hook up, they can easily meet someone anywhere – a bar, fitness club, school, etc. – there's no need for them to sign up for a site like this.

If you really want to meet women online, focus on the legit sites – match, eharmony, etc. – it may take longer to get the girl in bed, but at least the chances of you actually meeting the person you see is going to be much higher.

Think with your big heads – not your little ones… seriously!

  • Lorena says:

Hello guys, I'm a girl whoose boyfriend has messages from girls in this site…..He doesn't know I saw it all but here are my doubts:…do you have to be a paying meber in order to recieve messages from these "girls" on your emaill? or it is enough to post or subscribe in another dating site and they send you emails just to pick up your curiosity and submitt on their site?

Do I have to feel betrailed by him dooing this or is that you all guys are dooing this for seeing porn videos on line of real girls and it means no harm or mean intencions?

    • Admin says:

emails could be fake and probably are.HookupGirlfriends.com is a fake dating site that sends out phony emails. I highly doubt your boyfriend had any real girls emailing him… This site is a huge scam, read our review and you will understand why.

    • Nelly says:

Hi Lorena, it's nothing to worry about. I'm married and was just looking out of curiousity, well it almost killed my cat! – the sites generate auto correspondence that gets automatically sent to your e-mail…I got 78 mails from girls wanting to date me over a period of 30 days, without paying a cent…my wife obviously nearly killed and left me when she saw all this…lol – yet it had nothing behind it – the girls are all fake – they do not exist, so short of your man sticking it into the computers usb drive, there is no pleasure for him here and no need for you to worry either. If he was looking for some free porn to watch then send him to hotntubes, where ordinary people or couples share their own amature free porn. Then you need not worry at all…boys will be boys…I hope this helps you regain some confidence 😉

    • Mark Sibud says:

You pretty much have to sign up for the site to access it, other sites do send out these teaser emails to try to get you into this site. The guys are dead on about the site though, your boy friend us more likely to get a hook up from your laundry basket than this site there are no real members. It's probably time to either step up your game with your boyfriend, or cut him loose….IE people that play together stay together…. Good luck for anyone reading this far into this….Use a prepaid Walmart card for your sign ups than your only out what you put on the card, and can walk away from reoccurring charges

  • Jeffry Bucklin says:

I am currently unemployed and enlisted on the site to find girls for daytime romance, after 1 month. I found a lot of inconsistencies in text to draw my suspicions, thanks to the information here I was able to end the frustration and mental gymnastics, I can't believe the emotional rolacoaster ride I was on looking for gainful employment and women to meet, they don't know what damage they create, much less deception and deceipt, hope they sleep well at night, karma will haunt them all in due time

  • Steve Harris says:

Keep UP the good work guys! Too many scam artist from the porn industry.

    They are desperate these days.

  • Bmild2016 says:
