Fake Dating Apps Like SnpCupid Are Outright Scams That Are Invading Google Play

 This review is on a hookup dating app called SnpCupid. It looks as if the fake dating sites have figured out how to manipulate Google Play with fake dating apps that bypass Google Play Store violations. In this investigation we will explain how SnpCupid is being used to redirect people over to a phony hookup site called FreeLocalDates.com. How The Scam Works

This is how the whole con works step-by-step. First you go on to the Google Play store looking for hookup apps and you find SnpCupid. From there you download the app and then the scam begins. You open up the app click "tap here" and then you're redirected to FreeLocalDates.com.

On FreeLocalDates you're asked for your credit card information to "verify your age". They say everything is "100% free" and a "free lifetime membership is $0.00". Unfortunately all of this is one big massive lie. As you can see in the proof below you end up getting charged on your credit card from not one but three separate websites.

The charges include $49.95 to Free Local Dates Gold membership. You also get enrolled into another membership that charges you $39.61 per month and lastly you're also charged to a porno site called VideoErotic.com that will cost you $28.87 per month  All those charges accumulate to almost $120 per month for something that you thought was completely free.

Some how they are able to bypass security checks on the Google Play Store where the staff is supposed to stop fake apps and scams from making it onto the app store. They are however by passing it on many different levels because SnpCupid isn't the only phony dating app that we found connected to FreeLocalDates.com that available to install on mobile devices .

A Plethora of Fictitious Profile Pages

They also use other dirty tactics such as creating phony profiles that lure you into upgrading. All of this is outlined in great detail in the review that we did on FreeLocalDates. Made Up Profiles All Over

 All the women on the site have been fabricated by the owners. Any female profile that you're viewing is most likely not real. These profiles have been created to trick you into believing that the site has thousands of horny local girls looking for sex when in reality it's all a lie.

Bogus Emails

On top of that is the fact that all communications on the site are fake as well. Using computer software bots they can send email messages and instant messages that make you believe that girls in your community are initiating a conversation with you. Do not fall for this con! The messages seem legitimate but they always require you to give your credit card information so you can communicate with the other members on the site. The trouble is that all the profiles aren't real members of the site.

Fake Positive Reviews On The Google Play Store

Something else we noticed while investigating SnpCupid is that it had a 3.5 out of 5 star rating. How is this possible when the app is clearly a scam? If you do a search for "buy Google Play reviews" there are a number of different websites that you can pay that will post positive reviews about your app on Google Play. This is how fake dating apps bypass the negative reviews and flagging from Google Play. They make it seem as if their app is legitimate because of all the positive reviews on the 1st all the way to the fourth page. This technique also helps to drive down negative reviews. When you're looking for an app to install and you go read the reviews the first 4 pages of reviews are always positive after the first four pages is where you will see the real reviews that call out the app for being fake and a scam. This is exactly what they did for SnpCupid.
