  • 20 credits (costs $0.15 cents per credit) that costs $2.99.
  • 160 credits (costs $0.60 cents per credit) that costs $96.00.
  • 1000 credits (costs $0.40 cents per credit) that costs $399.00.

Overview

YourTravelMates.com is the focus of our investigation today. This website makes it seem as if you can find women who would enjoy traveling with you but is that really the case? Or is there something more sinister and deceptive going on beneath the surface? We break it all down and expose the deceit and lies in our review that you can read below.

Fake Chat Messages Used To Trick You Into Buying Credits

This is what happened after we joined the site, registered as a free member, verified our email and then logged into the members area. The very first thing that happened was that we started getting chat requests from tons of different women, constantly, minute-by-minute the messages continued pouring in. It was absolutely overwhelming the amount of chat requests that we received on Your Travel Mates.

Then, we started to try to reply to the chat messages that we were receiving from all these different girls. We sent out a couple messages and the women started to reply back. At that point we couldn’t reply any longer because we needed to upgrade and purchase credits to continue chatting with these women. We’ve seen this scenario time and time again on many, many other fictitious dating sites that we’ve exposed for fraud. Although we can’t prove with certainty that the chat messages are fake it’s not rocket science to figure this out. First of all how does it make any sense that when you join a website within seconds you’re getting bombarded with messages left and right on a constant basis. If you’ve ever joined a real dating site that had real women on it it’s much harder for you to get any sort of attention with women unless you look like Brad Pitt. Men are the pursuers on real dating sites. But on fake dating sites the fictitious profiles send out phony chat messages to the male users. This is the number one way to identify if a dating site is illegitimate. This is not just our opinion, it’s common sense and from our experience with years and years of reviewing dating services we know a thing or two about how phony hookup sites and fake dating services operate.

You can take a look at the screenshot below, circled in red you can see just a small amount of the automated fake chat messages that we received on YourTravelMates.com.

(Screenshot of the bogus chat messages that we received.)

Screenshot Showing Our Profile That Has No Profile Photo

Below you can see a screenshot. This is a screenshot of our profile page. Circled in red it says upload profile photo meaning that we haven’t uploaded any photo to our profile page that’s why it’s blank. Why then did we get so many chat messages from all these different girls when we don’t even have a photograph in our profile? And on top of that why did so many of these women contact a man who is 67 years old (many of the messages we received were from women in their 30s). It really doesn’t make any sense until you understand that all of this is a scam. There aren’t any real women interested in getting to know us. It’s all about money, it’s all about deceiving their male users into believing that real women are messaging them. All you need to do is purchase credits and then you can start chit-chatting to all the different women that are sending you chat messages. The only problem here is that the more messages that you reply to the more expensive it becomes. That’s the number one reason why they send so many fictitious instant chat messages because they want you to burn through the paid credits as quickly as possible so the website can make as much money as possible from your gullibility!

Reviews From Angry YourTravelMates.com Users

As part of our investigative process we search online to see what other people are also saying about the website that we are reviewing. In this particular instance we were researching to find other reviews from real users who’ve joined YourTravelMates.  We found many users disgruntled and angry at the service. Below you can read authentic reviews from web users who joined the website.

The first review give the site a 1 out of 5 star rating. This user complains about receiving charges on his credit card even when he unsubscribed from the website. At the end of the review he goes on to state that had he had to change his credit card number because he was being charged even when he unsubscribed.
(Review from a user of YourTravelMates.com)

This user calls it a scam. He says “it’s a scam it’s not genuine they try to put push fake messages to you so you buy credits”. And that’s exactly what we’ve already told you.

(Review from a user of YourTravelMates.com)

This review states that “the site is a total scam giving it a rating of 1 out of 5 stars. He states that “the moment you login you get tons of messages from what seems to be bots with stolen pictures and if you want to read the messages from those people they ask you to upgrade your account to a paid subscription”. He goes on to state that “it’s totally not worth it.”

(Review from a user of YourTravelMates.com)

This review give the website of 1 out of 5 star rating as well. This user states “it’s a scam No Doubt! Long story short he says to make it short he signed on to the website. He says he got lots of emails and he talked to some of the women online only for a few minutes then he realized and figure out something didn’t add up. He said he checked his credit card and closed it straight away.” He goes on to state “they started charging my credit card without me knowing. Luckily I spent about $600 USD for only a few days.” So this user actually ended up spending $600 without even realizing it (until it was too late). Burning through credit out the credit chit chatting to fake nonexistent women or actually automated computer chat bots.

Do You Think These Are Real Female Members?

If you take a look at the screenshot below you will see four different women which is just a small sample of the females that you will come across on YourTravelMates.com. Why is it that every single girl looks as if she’s a model? Why would women like this need to join this website to meet men? Why would these women contact someone who doesn’t even have a photo on their profile page? Once again does this make sense to anyone? Of course not, but they want us to believe that it’s true. Don’t fall for it!

Final Decision:

If you’re looking for a real travel buddy there are many other sites. We don’t understand why this site gained popularity in the first place. But at the end of the day this isn’t a website to find travel friends or website to find women to date. This is a deceiving website used to trick you into purchasing credits. And that’s the honest truth!

Thanks for letting you reminded us i am going to purchase but as i read these comments i won’t plus so expensive

  • Mohammed says:

Are all off the ladies on this site fake or is there some genuine lady’s who are really looking to hook up.
I am at present talking to one and l asked her if she could send me a photo of her holding a bunch of flowers so that l can be reassured it is her .
She said no because l am demanding of her and she does not like dominant men.
    What do you think?
She replied back to one of my emails 3am Columbian time.Hummm

    • Jamie says:

She said no because its not her pictures. Most women will give their number to you if they like you after maybe 10 messages. Try getting numbers on here won’t happen.

    • June says:

I think all the men, who quickly replied to the ladies who do not have a photo with them, are fake too.

  • Roger says:

I was about to register on your travel mates and thought of looking for some reviews of that site before I register. Google popped up reviews of 4.5 star plus and more for that site. BUT, your blog came as a nice deterrent from registering on it. The pricing system in itself is a kind of scam. I’d personally never register on a site that has credit systems. Those sites in itself are a scam. Thanks for this post , very helpful

    Dear Investigators,

Yes, you are right all the way, and I thank you for preventing naive gogos from falling into a dirty trap such as Yourtravelmate.com, which is 100% fraud. Myself, I must say I was interested by the idea of a site dedicated to finding a travel companion. But one soon finds out it's all fake, although the deluxe appearence of the shiny honey pot is perfectly set to attract bugs. All the girls are gorgeous indeed in their different ethnic styles, roughly enhanced with photo correcting applications, in order to fulfill men's stereotyped fantasy: Ukranian ladies have big bumper boobs, fluffy blond hair and work as engineers; Chinese beauties have long slim legs, made a fortune in real estate and travel in their private plane; and — of course — appealing latinas from Columbia have big balloon butts, lascivious lips and work as college administrator at 24 y.o., with plenty of free time!!! OMG, it's just a big joke! Who can believe that?

Yet, the owners of Yourtravelmate.com are far from being stupid! And if you bother, Dear Investigators, to read their "Terms of Use Agreement", you could see how they hired top lawyers to protect themselves from any attack or suspicion. In a very subtle way, they kind of admitt that their "dating site" is a fake! In paragraph 5/f, members to be are warned this way: "You may not include in Your correspondence with other members any URLs, email addresses or telephone and fax numbers.", but this phrasing is hidden in tons of rules! So, it is obvious that you'll never be able to meet in real the virtual robots out there, and that spending thousands of dollars will never lead you to a dead end whatsoever!!

    Regards,

    • Takahashi Etsuko says:

I must admit that your point of view is correct! The site is not only female robots, but also countless male robots. I have spent thousands of pounds on this website, and when I asked him to send the current photos immediately, he chose to refuse. He even said that I was too domineering!

  • Patrick Fahy says:

Great warning reviews,I was close to joining but didn't after looking here. A Chinese woman wanted me to email here on travel mates dating site after all my free messages where used to get her phone number, and that would mean payment by credit card. Also getting so many messages I couldn't keep pace with them all. Had to look in the mirror just to see if am really that attractive

    • Admin says:

Thanks! YourTravelMates.com is a money making operation NOT a dating service.

    • Joyce Van Horn says:

i googled reviews of TravelMates before providing my credit card info. The men just seemed too perfect: wealthy, assuring me that i was “the one” (I’m almost 70 and look great for my age, but getting a proposition from a 22 year old guy is just…suspicious and sickening.

  • Oksana says:

There are a few real people on that site, however, most of the accounts appear to be fraudulent. My experience has been negative. I corresponded with a very handsome Dutch man, Antony from Amsterdam, 36 years old, for 3 months. From his letters and chats I felt loved and cherished. But when I started pushing for "real life" communication, i.e. emails, calls, meeting in person, the user stopped communicating with me and within a week his account was deleted, with photos disappearing a few days earlier. When I called VIP technical support, they could not give me any info why the account was deleted and "Profile no longer available." Was it a real person who just got tired of me and disappeared without saying a word after 3 months of euphoria and "friendship"? Or was it a fraudulent account ran by yourtravelmates.com staff? All I know is whoever was behind that profile knew how to talk to women, spoke Dutch (I tested him), was definitely living in Netherlands, but on one picture he had sent me, his car plate showed "IPO-3939" license plate which is registered in Athens, Greece. Hmmm, why?

I was left purplexed and very sad. I thought I finally found the man of my dreams and in an instant that dream vanished.

    • L says:

same here dear mines was for 9 months… all requests for correspondence off line were rejected as me being pushy. Even after he said he was in love with me. I also found out that the pictures were that of a Russian Model and when I contacted him… his first question to me was “who the Fxxx are you?” Talk about humiliating and embarrassing. Anyway, the account was suddenly deleted after an evening of I love yous… Complete scam people, If these people were serious and you make a connection with someone like that, you’d move to IRL a lot faster. But their staff is well trained unfortunately and for people looking for love, please save your heart, for the money you will have to spend here just pay a dating service to do a retained search.

  • admin says:

Total scam! I asked three different guys to contact me via skype, all three of them came up with excuses such as: I prefer to keep talking here or my work doesn’t allow me to use anything else. I told him he must have a private smart phone, what kind of pilot gets blocked on internet use, I am not that stupid to fall for this bullshit. He goes: “you might have a point here”. Pfff

  • Scot says:

This site came to me through their main sister site China Love Cupid & i didn’t sign up for this site your travel mates but from what i gather on the China love site is some are ready to give out their personal information right away which is different from others i have experienced that you pay out a certain goal of 3000 credits before you are able to request that lady’s information & that’s not a gaurantee either so i thought this China love site is in connection with Cupid , so is Cupid a bad dating site as well ? Of course there are some women on these sites around my age so maybe they are the REAL users ?

  • L Traveller says:

    Complete Scam.
Spent 6 months on the site dating Dimitris 35 year old Hungarian. Turns out he was using pictures of an instagram model Iskander Akramov… Any request for current pictures was always met by resistance. Or old pictures of the model was used. He messed up on details from the models life also which is how I came to realize it was all a LIE. Of course model had facebook, which Dimitris said he didnt have…i tried letting the model know , so he might actually be part of the scam. If not the scammer himself.. Try asking for a video chat and they immediately try to end the conversation or make you feel crazy for asking. The only way they can communicate is on dating.com or yourtravelmates.com. other real paying members are not really allowed to communicate with one another. Because once the paying members meet, they would leave the site and less money for them. Basically profiles that state the member is curated and uses the website for free… are the fake ones…these are the only people who send you rapid fire messages. Also the site learns your preferences. They use AI… So the profiles start asking specific questions that are catered to you… note that any real life communication will be rejected… They really are scum, but the men are well trained to lie about their social media, and avoid video chats (if the pictures don’t match the person) and keep you talking on the site. It is not real ladies and gentleman. Dont waste your money… If you see their Google reviews, they are all fake really. There is so much more I could say about the experience including their use of bots and sharing your information. STAY FAR AWAY!!

  • Nono says:

Got 3 messages from different guys written exactly the same, spent 50usd that did not last even 2hrs on the site and they wanted me to buy more credits. If I knew how to send screenshots, I’d show how I realized it’s really fake

  • Dawn says:

Yep,and it all starts with dating. Com . Do not touch this site people, it’s a money grabbing scam full of bots, its criminal what this site can do,same profiles on this travel mates as dating. Com. A rabbit hole if I ever saw one.

  • Astri says:

I signed up for this site because I saw an ad on yahoo mail, and purely because I wanted to find a travel partner. Upon entering, I saw so many very good looking people, men and women, almost all of them. This started to arouse my suspicions, as if these people were not real people, their appearance and photos were too perfect. But I was curious and continued to fill in my profile, with a photo. After that, I was bombarded with messages and emails from these handsome men. But it turns out that to reply to every message and email you have to pay, even giving gifts that are only icons you have to pay! I was like, what the heck! Luckily I have never been interested in paying for any dating sites, so I changed my profile photo to private, and every day I keep getting fake messages. Haha… weird, how come people get attracted to profiles with photos that aren’t even visible. Worst and unworthy dating site I have ever tried.

  • Zoila says:

I was using the site since October 2020. I saw many good looking guys and at the same time a profile of an old guy but not handsome and in his profile saying he is a billionaire. It made me wonder how a profile and photos not in sync with each other. A m on the verge of buying credits. Thanks to my bank for disapproval. Thank you for all your help. Now am awakened to this night mare!

  • mab3l says:

Yes it is scam, like dating.com, the person i chat for 10months unable to give video call. well lately there’s incoming video call from members, but I didnt try it yet. The member could sent me his videos, but never be able to made a video instantly and send it right away. like it is being ordered, and the member i found a model. And i found an adveritising searching for model for dating apps, age 21 70 35, for 2-3 hours paid 700pounds.

  • Michael Duggar says:

Spot on and accurate. The woman are online 24/7 although they claim to be doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. Secondly, the profile is “curated” from another site and the woman are on there for free, and they get paid to encourage conversation and costs to the man. If you have monies to burn like gambling in Las Vegas, the beauty and pictures are a form of exotic porn. But again, just wanting to make conversation…and they say that often in their profiles. Many don’t read your profile, and many of the profiles have gross inconsistencies in them. I have seen some attractive ladies on a number of sites and you are right to wonder why such beautiful women have no mate. Many claim to want children and are 48 years old…or older….want a family with kids which is unique at their ages. Operate from the premise, “FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.”

  • R. Chohan says:

Total fake. After a few contacts one has to buy credits! No response on a request to continue with e-mail adres so how can one ever stay in contact? Very disappointed. Lucky I did not stay there long. Money making scam!
    .

  • Stacey says:

I’m SO mad that I gave yourtravelmates any of my money. I’m so glad I canceled within a day but I’m sure the amount of money this site generates through false advertising is staggering.

  • S says:

I guessed that this was a money making scam site after a while. Luckily, I did not purchase any “Credits” and did look at their Terms and Conditions, which are so prohibitive and cover them completely in that if you fall for the scam, it is all your fault! Thank goodness I decided to look for reviews as there is no way the swarm of messages were real.

  • Purethiru says:

Travelmates’ website is a total scam. As you register you get a flurry of fake messages. They are based on a credits system. I signed up for a basic membership and received 150 credits for Aus $30 and exhausted all my credits within 2 hours. Every time you look at someone’s video you lose 15 credits. Even if you look at the same person’s video you still get charged 15 credits. Becuase most of them come from non-English speaking countries but state they are based in the US it is very difficult to figure out what they say. Further, you send them a message you are charged credits again even if it is to the same person. I answered some messages giving out my email address and stated I am pulling out of the website, therefore, if they are interested they can write to me via my email address. Ho Ho Ho, guess what I did not receive any responses. I think the scammers are getting paid to receive messages. That is the way it operates. So the scammers want you to be on the website so that they can get credits from Travelmates. I knew it was a scam the first day when I received all those idiotic messages. But I wanted to see what was happening. I chose about 6 members and initiated chats with them. The responses were idiotic and strange. I have sent several complaints to Travelmates and received the same automated responses over and over again. Again another scam. They further wrote in their response to me that I can contact members if I had my subscription and do not need credits. This is another lie. I tried to contact the same 6 members and it takes me to a window to use my credit card so that I can buy credits. There may be genuine people, but I am not sure. Overall nasty way of doing business and collecting funds from vulnerable people playing on their emotions. Someone who is gullible will keep buying credits using their credit card and very soon that person may run out hundreds of dollars. Be careful. I am on the site for one week and monitoring on and off but never will buy any additional credits. I have a subscription for one month for my Aus $ 30. I will be monitoring but certainly will cancel soon.

  • Sonia says:
