Overview

Today we investigate and do a thorough review of HookupHangout.com. As with all of our other investigations we joined Hookup Hangout as a free member to see if we could uncover any wrong doings. This has always been our investigating style and has worked very effectively in exposing dating scams. Please read the full review below to understand if this is legitimate dating service or yet another scam to stay away from.

Did We Receive Any Messages

Every time we join a fictitious dating service the first indicator that the site is fake is when we start getting email after email shortly after registering on the site. With HookupHangout.com it's never happened. We have been a member on the site for roughly a week and we haven't received a single message from another member on the site. You can take this as a good thing or a bad thing. We take it as a good thing because it means that the site is not using any form of automated computer bots to send phony email messages to their members. In the past and over the hundred of reviews that we've done what always happens with fake hookup sites is that you will start getting blasted with fake emails from fictitious women who want to contact you. This always ends up being phony and a scam to get people to purchase monthly memberships to the faux dating site. In this particular situation with HookupHangout.com it never happened. Not one email was received from anyone on the site. This was in fact a very good indicator that we were dealing with a legit dating service.

 Real Profiles

Other indicators that a site is fake includes the creation of fictitious dating profiles that the website creates. We have a number of different software tools that helps us to identify if profiles are using fake pictures or not. We found no wrongdoing on HookupHangout.com. No profile photographs came back as fictitious. This was another good indicator that this dating service is real.

Chat Messages From Real Women

And yet another indicator that the site is truthful is the fact that no instant chat messages were received from anyone on the site. With almost of our other dating site reviews we were always bombarded with tons of instant messages from women on the site. This was always another tool used to trick people into buying memberships to the fake dating sites. Hookuphangout.com doesn't seem to be running this software system that tries to trick people.

The Terms And Conditions Is The Final Straw Proving This Site Isn't Legitimate

The only thing that we found in the terms and conditions page that could be considered an eyebrow raiser is the statement where they tell us that any member profile message or communication may not be genuine. They go on to state that you should take caution especially if you're asked for your place of work, your address, your phone number or your name. We don't think they are admitting to any form of fraud or creating fictitious profiles. What we think they're trying to tell us is that you should be careful when using their dating service because you never knew know who is trying to scam you (ie: romance scammers). You can take a look at the statement below taken from their terms and conditions section of the site.

  1. By using this service you accept that any member profiles, messages and communication may not be genuine. That caution is particularly relevant if you are asked your surname, place of work, address or telephone number or if you are asked to arrange a meeting.

Final Decision:

Over 90% of the time when we do reviews the dating sites turn out to be a fake, a fraud a scam. We're happy to report that from our investigation and our own research it seems that HookupHangout.com is a legitimate dating service. It's not to say that we met anyone on the site and had success meeting women but the fact remains that we weren't bombarded with emails, we didn't have fake profiles blasted in our face and no bogus instant messages were received. Also we took the time to read the terms and conditions which uncovered no wrongdoing. We're not going to say that you're going to meet anyone on HookupHangout.com but from our review it seems like a legitimate site.

The site overall was fine but just like other sites I've been on, they had a very limited amount of members that were close to my location (within 50 miles). The worst part of this site is that they make it very difficult to cancel your membership. Other sites all you have to do is contact them and tell them you want to cancel your membership. Hookuphangout makes you sign a form that then has to be faxed to them! What the f***! It cost me $5 USD to send them this single page to cancel my membership and to stop any further billing. What a freaking joke! I would recommend that people stay away from this site just because of that.

  • Jim says:

Have to agree. One of the best sites for adult fun I've been a member of.

Yes, it isn't free, but at least (unlike many other sites) they have plenty of real women there.

  • Norman says:

They are a scam site. Their cancellation policy is extremely shady.

  • […] Some of the websites associated with FuckBuddy.co.uk include ShagHunt.co.uk, ShagFun.co.uk, and HookupHangout.com. We've investigated all three of those websites and we've concluded they're total […]

site is total scam. nothing but scammers and webcam strippers. Says the review reports of scammer when you report,,,they don't do crap about it. Then let alone try to cancel service..want you to file out a form and fax to some # in Switzerland at your cost and give you nothing but hassle trying to stop auto renew. Site has place to cancel service….but it don't work, just keeps giving you run around. Finally had to report to my Credit card company as fraud to stop them. DON"T BOTHER WITH THEM STAY AWAY!!!

  • Paul F. says:

Definetly a SCAM, just read terms and conditions (point 3), they say that you accept the fact that they create fake computer gererated profiles that will msg you.

In adition the procedure to cancel suscription is just a joke… because you can't purchase just a moth, you will be charged monthy forever.

This article points that didn't receive messages.. LOL… i received something like 10 msgs without even upload a picture.

I just joined Hookup Hangout  (HH) yesterday……Im a pretty good looking 45 year old man & have very good writing skills…..

I have been a member for 36 hours or so… I do not work for HH or any dating website…. I posted 5 photos of myself dressed on HH, in a bathing suit, bare chested, exercising, but no nudity…

The interface is primitive & defective…..Photos are very small……You do not know who you sent messages to, unless you go back into the sent box  & it won’t be easy…….Same problem for letters received……Even messages you actually sent, will not be found there…………. You will wind up sending messages to the same people…….You will think you have sent messages, but they were not sent….They do not register as sent……

My Inbox on Friday morning says that I have 85 letters……When i became a paid member, after using my credit card, I had 150………Where did the other 75 letters go?

If you do a trial membership, you will not be able to perceive how defective the interface, inboxes, outboxes & search engines are….

You will not know who you received messages from, either,  unless it was very recent……You will not know if your messages were read….. You will not be able to  do a search in your sent & received messages, like you can do on Gmail or yahoo email…..There are very few search engines………EVERYTHING is defective or malfunctioning on this website…..

The owners of this website have spent ZERO money in upgrading & modernizing the interface & website…….It is not user friendly………..FREE dating websites, such as Plenty of Fish or OK Cupid,  use interfaces & communication methods that are 10x better…..

There are practically ZERO active members…….I did a search for MEN who were online in the last 24 hours FOR THE ENTIRE USA, between Wednesday at 10;30pm & Thursday, October 4th at 10:30pm………There were THREE men!

     NOBODY comes online….

There are VERY few photos & VERY few profiles…….Almost everybody is anonymous.

I have received 100s of letters in my inbox…….They are mostly from Europe……Women winking at me, wanting my skype or email address………..

I have not received 1 letter that i suspect is legitimate or personal……Everything is automated or copy & paste….

They are all copy & paste scams or robots…….

HH also claims that if you pay extra on top of the GOLD membership, you will then be able to contact non paying members…………This is a lie, and HH staff have admitted this to me when i questioned them about it on the phone……

Do NOT give your credit card information to this company…..

…It won’t matter whether you are gorgeous or ugly, young or old….HH is a 100% scam website

I have already written 100s of members & received 100s of responses in my mailbox..Based on my 36 hour experience, the entire website is a non existent scam.

I do not have 1 SINGLE good thing to say about this website…….Everything is defective or non existent……

How any person could give this website more than 1 star is SHOCKING to me… Beware, those are not legitimate reviews, they are planted by the HH company, all over the internet.….

I have been a member now for 5 days, and I will not be visiting HH anymore, even though I paid $30 and have 25 days left on my membership……..It is that bad…

The members are scammers or non existent BOTs, and the reviews pervading  the internet are scams also…….

HH’s own search engine found only 100 females & THREE MALES, who had been online, in the ENTIRE USA, between Friday nite at 10:55 & Saturday at 10:55, October 6th, 2018…… 1 female in the entire state of Arkansas who had visited, 15 in all of Texas!……Only ! MALE with a photo,  in the ENTIRE USA, visited the website in the last 24 hours!…And HH may be exaggerating or lying….

If you have any doubts, you can call me at 312 877 9359…..My name is Daniel & I live in Arkansas, USA…Im not a scam & am real……..Im paid thru October 31st, unfortunately……

I lost $30, but if I can save somebody else from losing $30, Its worth it & Im happy……..

HH does terrific damage to the entire online dating site community & destroys people trust in dating online……….

  • Noel says:

FRAUD ALERT!!! FRAUD ALERT!! These guys posting this work for the company, they HAVE to!! This place makes it diffcult to leave their payment site, and it's FRAUD. You have to download a form, sign it and fax it back to them, and it does NOT have a bunch of females willing to hookup and hangout, there are many, many pictures of women, ONE picture and they try to direct you to another site, this place is PHONEY….

  • Joe says:

I would say this is a decent site. A good option if you’re patient and smart enough. Another one that works for me is Tinder

  • Todd Humphreys says:

Overall its a nice site. I had a quiet second month but things have picked up again. I’d recommend checking it out and seeing how many fine ladies (or ugly ones if you prefer haha) show up in your local searches. If you have a few, grab a 3 month membership, fire messages out left right and centre, then see what happens. Its damn worth it at that price just for some of the crazy chats you have with some of these sluts, and anyway I spend more $$$ on a haircut every month haha! Good luck
